The Space We Occupy

We perceive the extent of inhabitation as voids within the city reveal an existing interwoven fabric that are not intentional, though are experienced. The space between and around the built form remains the residual. The insertion of program materializes, supports and further defines these voids. An intervention becomes figure that suggests new voids, while the boundaries remain temporal, redefining themselves by day, night, transparency, opacity, projection and perception. The figure provides a structure as it mediates geometries, program and site. The residual becomes activated, transformed into the participatory.
