Kitchen Island

The island was designed as a piece of furniture to fit within a narrow kitchen.  The wood volume houses drawers that open on each short end, rather than the long sides, so they don’t encroach on the width of the space.  The legs and lower shelf are made of steel with adjustable feet to accommodate uneven floors.  The top is made of wood with small hooks mounted underneath to hang pots.
